Fences for Hampstead's wooded lots between US 17 and Topsail Sound

Hampstead is an unincorporated community in Pender County, strung along US 17 between Wilmington and Holly Ridge, with Topsail Sound on one side and pine woods on the other. The 2023 American Community Survey counted 9,129 residents, about 73 percent of homes owner-occupied and a median home value near $395,900. Lots are larger than in town, often wooded, and many back onto marsh or tidal creeks toward the sound.
